Well worth the moneyOct 06, 2008 My friend gave me one for me son because he wouldn't sleep unless he was wrapped tightly but we never could get him tight enough for his satisfaction. Once we got the swaddle me he started sleeping for longer periods of time. We would swaddle him and lay him on the couch since it was the only place he would sleep for the first 3 months and we wouldnt hear a peep out of him until he was hungry or till his older sister (older by 11 months) would bother him. Were having another baby and will definitely get this again since we gave the first one away. It is way better than the blankets and the little velcro makes it so that it will stay tight until you unwrap your little bundle of joy. It is also a million times easier to swaddle your baby with the swaddle me than with a receiving blanket.
This saved us from sleepless nightsJul 12, 2008 My son has been swaddled using the kiddopotamus since birth. We just now stopped using it at 5.5 months. He was sleeping through the night at 2 months and taking great naps. We just wrap him in it and he would fall asleep in seconds. We ended up using both the small and large sizes. He didn't outgrow the weight but got too long for the smalls but the larges worked wonderful as well.
Crying in the Car: Never AgainJun 20, 2008 My little one loved to be swaddled, but we couldn't swaddle her in the car. She would get so frustrated - frantically crying and turning red - in the car when she wanted to sleep. Now when she gets upset, we use the swaddle me blanket, and she falls right to sleep. She is still safe in her car seat, but also happy! It also works great with all the other S's of "Happiest Baby on the Block" too!
some like it, some don't!Jun 01, 2008 I had one of these for my first son, he was a preemie. everyone said, "ohhhh he's a little preemie, he'll sleep better if he's bundled tight, swadddle this swaddle that..." he hated the swaddler. then fat and happy full term baby number two comes..... "oh, big baby's sleep better at night, you won't need to worry about him...." Horrible sleeper, up all night to eat, but LOVED the swaddler!!! Don't listen to what everyone says. the stereotypes are all wrong. Baby might hate this and scream to be free (like my first), or sleep great only when he's in it (like my second....). You won't know unless you try though.... ;)
LOVE IT!Apr 20, 2008 I have two of these swaddlers and I LOVE THEM! My baby is 10 weeks now and we began using the swaddler at around 4 weeks when a friend recommended them. She has seriously been sleeping through the night (roughly 6-7 hours or so) since then. They are great and I highly recommend them to all of my friends having children.
